Fremont Tribune, Fremont, NE - Sat, 25 April 1992 Weston - Mass of Christian burial for Ivan J. Jambor, 90, of Weston will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church in Weston. Mr. Jambor died Thursday, April 23, 1992, at Saunders County Community Hospital in Wahoo. He was born Feb. 5, 1902, in Prague. He attended school at District No. 94 in rural Prague. From 1936 to 1940 he operated a tavern and was a mechanic in Touhy. While living in Weston, he worked as a construction worker in Lincoln and was employed by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In his later years, he was in charge of maintenance for the village of Weston. Mr. Jambor had been a resident of Weston since 1940. He was a member of Rebecca Lodge No. 375 and Oddfellows Lodge No. 644, both of Lincoln. He also was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and St. John's Catholic Church. He married Emily Franta on Aug. 25, 1924, in Cedar Hill. She died Oct. 19, 1978. He subsequently married Eunice Easton Fulton on Oct. 4, 1983, in Seward. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Larry of Houston; a daughter, Leola Thompson of Alliance; two brothers, Albert of David City and Earnest of Prague; three sisters, Lydia Pospisil of Weston, Alice Vojtech of North Bend and Lorene Woita of David City; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond, and a sister, Agnes Osmera. The Rev. John Cooper will officiate Monday's service. There will be a vigil service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Visitation will to 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo, and one hour before both services at the church.
