Obituary From "The Ottumwa, Courier," March 17, 1995: Florence Curry OTTUMWA – Florence Dennison Curry, 76, of 2046 Mable St. died at 5: 55 p.m. March 15, 1995, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. She was born March 26, 1918, in Muscatine to James B. and Mary Lincoln Smith. She married George Edward Dennison in 1936. He died Jan. 17, 1968. She married Clifford Curry on Nov. 19, 1971. She was a lifelong member of Walter B. Schafer Post No. 775 Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars and a 27-year member of O.B. Nelson Unit No. 3 of American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband; five daughters, Patricia Bird, Roma Smith and Debbie Lapsey all of Ottumwa, Christine Abbas of Rockford, Ill, and Eva Christine Abbas of Rockford, Ill, and Eva Hickman of Davenport; six sons, George E. Dennison of Orange, Calif., Carl Dennison of Bentonville, Ark., Mark Dennison of New Sharon, James Dennison and Robert Dennison of Ottumwa and Roger Dennison of Missouri; 36 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grand-son. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Rimmer and twin infant daughters. The service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, the Rev. Tommy Brunk of the Evangelistic Temple officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery, with a service conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post No. 775. Pallbearers will be sons. Visitation will begin after ll a m. today at the funeral home. Family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Cornea Transplant Unit at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
