Cpl. Robert Joseph Duff, M.P.D. (Retired) - age 75; a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Wilmer, AL, died Monday, February 18, 2019 in a local hospice facility. Corporal Duff retired from the Mobile Police Department after 34 years of service; he was a member of the Semmes Masonic Lodge #878 and the Knights of Columbus Council #4888. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jolene Price Duff; one daughter, Tamra Duff Turberville (Clinton Gachet Turberville, Jr.) of Walland, TN; one grandson, Brandon Gachet Turberville of Maryville, TN; one great-grandson, Clinton Gachet Turberville, III; his siblings, Mary Raley, Frances Bosarge, Ray Duff, Andy Duff, Larry Duff, and Pat Duff; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until 3 P.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the chapel of the Volunteers of America, 1204 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, AL 36695. A memorial service will follow at 3 P.M. with Mobile Police Chaplain Deacon Edward G. Connick officiating. Arrangements by Ascension Funerals & Cremations, 1016 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, Alabama 36695.
