Bio

Leon Zaidle, 96, went to be with his Lord in Ennis, Texas on Monday, February 11, 2019. Burial will be at Myrtle Cemetery. Leon was born in Ennis, Texas, on September 19, 1922, to the late Frank and Francis Zaidle. He grew up in Garrett, Texas, and attended Garrett Schools. On May 19, 1945, he married Mary Sue Chandler and they made their home in Dallas. He moved to Ennis in 2016. He worked for Collins Radio for over 30 years before retiring in 1982. He was a member of Baylor Baptist Church and SPJST. He enjoyed farming and vegetable gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue in December of 1999; a son, Doug Zaidle; and five sisters. He is survived by his son, Danny Zaidle; daughters, Murvie McGuire and Carolyn Greene; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Zaidle, Jr.; other relatives and many friends.
