OBITUARY Otto Sirinek, 82, a resident of Chetek most of his life, died at his home here December 5. Services were held Saturday from Burnham Funeral Chapel in Chetek with Rev Venton Scott officiating. Burial was in Twin Lakes Cemetery where graveside services were performed by the American Legion. Mr Sirinek was employed as an auto and machine mechanic and served in WW I. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Frances Berning of Red Wing, Minn, and Mrs Velma Brown of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; one brother, Emil of Phoenix, Ariz; four sisters, Mrs Rose Bekken of Cameron, Mrs Antonette Smith of Chetek, Mrs Elsie Heller of Chicago, Ill, and Mrs Josephine Ringer of Cicero, Ill; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Jerry Berning, Dana Berning, Donald Peterson, Harold Puppe, Don Whitmore and Norman Sirinek. CARD OF THANKS We wish to extend a sincere thank you to everyone for the sympathy extended to us in the death of our loved one, Otto Sirinek. We appreciate the kindness shown by so many, especially Rev Scott, the Burnham Funeral Home, American Legion, pallbearers, Babe McCarty, Judy Solberg, Methodist Church women, the neighbors and especially Lester Simmons, Roy Dodge, and Barbara and Merlyn Folz, the Police Department with a special thanks to Mel Ott, Harold Puppe and Claire Pfluger, and for the floral arrangements, the cards, food, and all who helped and showed their concern in so many ways. - The family of Otto Sirinek (15 Dec 1977; Chetek Alert; Chetek, Barron Co, WI)
