Born to James Franklin Peterson, Sr. (1894-1970) of Texas & Rossie Lee Evans (1895-1979) of Arkansas, who married in 1914. Pansy married Willie Wesley Smith (1904-1980) on July 16, 1937, in Fisher County, TX. She was his second wife. He had previously been married to Bertie Alice Ragland (1906-after 1930). Children: Patricia Lea "Pat" Smith Ham (1939-2025) Charline Fae "Char" Smith Edwards (living)
