Bio
Roger M. Brooks Jr. Garden City, SC, GARDEN CITY, SC; Roger Malcolm Brooks Jr., at the age of 85, stepped peacefully into infinity on Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Roger was a U.S. Marine World War II Veteran, serving from May 6, 1942 thru his honorable discharge on May 27, 1946. He is survived by his wife, Jean (Kennett) Brooks of Garden City, SC; four sons; Roger Brooks III. and Richard Brooks, both of Marietta, GA., Danny Scot Ashby and James Andrew Ashby, both of Dallas, TX. Also he is survived by a brother Thorton Brooks. Roger is the son of the late Roger Malcolm Brooks Sr and the late Myrtle (Thornton) Brooks. He also is predeced by a sister, Jean Brooks Webster. Burial will be in the Southern Palms Memorial Gardens, North Myrtle Beach, SC. (NOTE: Roger's first wife was Bonnie Mae Wallace, Married in 1949.)
