The Pensacola Journal; 22 Mar 1969, Sat; Page 26 FISHER-POU FUNERAL SERVICE Dunbar G. McVoy Dunbar G. McVoy, 70, of 2001 E. Scott St., died Friday morning in a local hospital. Mr. McVoy was a lifelong resident of Pensacola and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a retired civil service employe at the Pensacola Naval Air Station. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Josephine McVoy of Pensacola; a daughter, Mrs. David Little of Pensacola; a son Elbridge D. McVoy of Covina, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Guy Harvey and Mrs. Frank Beovich, both of Pensacola and Mrs. J. A. Jackson of Mobile, Ala.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fisher-Pou Chapel with Msgr. Leo Byrnes officiating. Pallbearers will be Donald J. Roark, Joseph Kerr, Frank Beovich Jr., Ferrell Stearns, Robert DeGraaf and J. A. Jackson. Burial will be in Bayview Memorial Park with Fisher-Pou Funeral Service directing. ***** The Pensacola News Journal; 02 Jan 1949, Sun; Page 14 Miss Josephine Mary McVoy Weds David Rutherford Little The Sacred Heart Catholic rectory was the setting for the wedding ceremony of Miss Josephine Mary McVoy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dunbar Garden McVoy, and David Rutherford Little, son of Mrs. Henry Jeudevine, and the late Victor Little. The Rev. M. B. Daly performed the service at 6 p. m. Saturday in the presence of the family and close friends. Palms and tall baskets filled with gladioli were used on either side of the white satin covered prie dieu. Miss Rose Marie Nunnari presented a program or nuptial music wtth Mrs. A. B. Rood singing "Because." "Thine Alone" and "Ave Maria" (Schubert). The conventional marches were used. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white satin, featuring a round yoke of imported chantilly lace, and outlined with a satin fold. The fitted bodice joined a full skirt that formed a graceful train. Her fingertip veil of illusion was attached to a crown-shaped tiara of lilies of the valley. She carried an arm bouquet of white camellias centered with a purple orchid and showered with lilies of the valley. Miss Carolyn Anderson was maid of honor, and Miss Mary Jania Beovich, cousin of the bride, and Miss Betty Biebighauser served as maids. They were dressed in identical gowns of blue taffeta shading into rose, made with a fold around the drop shoulder neckline, fitted bodice, and full skirts with abbreviated bustles in back. They wore matching mittens and carried arm bouquets of scotch heather and purple dawn camellias, with sprays of matching flowers in their hair. Victor Little was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Hugh Little, another brother of the groom, and Peter Thames. Mrs. McVoy wore for her daughter's wedding a becoming gown of black crepe with a corsage of pink carnations. Mrs. Jeudevine, the groom's mother, was in a gown of navy blue chiffon with a corsage of violets. Immediately after the ceremony, a reception was held in the Pensacola Yacht club. The rooms were attractively decorated with white gladioli and greenery. The bride's table was centered with a tiered wedding cake topped with calla lilies and camellias at the base. The three-branched candelabra were garlanded with camellias. Greeting the guests were Mrs. H. W. Carlson, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. A. M. Quarterman. Presiding at the cake table were Mrs. Philip Caro, Mrs. J. J. McVoy, Mrs. R. F. Ellis and Mrs. Roy Porter. The bride's book was in charge of Mrs. J. H. Little, and Miss Mary Pat McCabe. Presiding at the punch bowls were Miss Janie Erickson, Miss Angel Lappington, Miss Joan Warthen and Miss Louise Horne. Assisting in serving were Miss Nancy Waldron, Miss Louise Horne, Miss Shirley McMullen, Miss Susan Johnson, and Miss Frances Lee. For traveling, the bride chose a three-piece eggshell wool suit with brown accessories and an orchid corsage. They will resides in Tallahassee where the groom will attend Florida State university. Out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank V. Sheurman, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Jackson, Jack Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McVoy, John McVoy, and James Stearns, all of Mobile, and Mr. and Mrs. W. L.
