ADAM GUTBROD DIES IN SHERIDAN SHERIDAN, Aug. 16 – Mrs. Adam Gutbrod died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rheinholz Kruger in Sheridan. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Methodist church. Mrs. Gutbrod is also survived by John Gutbrod of the Dairy Maid creamery. Her husband died a number of years ago. ********************** The Telephone Register, McMinnville, Oregon, Thursday, August 23, 1945 LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. ADAM GUTBROD IN SHERIDAN CHURCH SHERIDAN, Aug. 23 – The funeral of Mrs. Lena Gutbrod, 78, was held in the Sheridan Methodist church Saturday afternoon. The service was conducted by the Rev. Mark Getzendaner, pastor of the Salem American Lutheran church. Interment was in the Sheridan Masonic cemetery. Mrs. Gutbrod, who died Aug. 14 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rinehold Kreuger, had been ill since March and confined to her bed. Born in Odessa, Russia, Aug. 11, 1867, she married Adam Gutbrod in Sheridan in 1899. Her husband preceded her in death May 6, 1941. Since that time she had made her home with her son John Gutbrod and his family in Sheridan. Other children surviving are Herman Schatz of Sheridan and Jacob Schatz of Portland. She had 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, three grandsons being in the service. Two sisters and one brother also survive her.
