Bio

Leroy Schoubroek 4/27/1926 - 12/23/2018 Paw Paw went on to his heavenly reward on December 23rd and started the 1st day of his forever life. He was surrounded by his family when he passed peacefully into the arms of his lord and savior. He spent Christmas this year with Jesus and had a glorious celebration of his birth. He was a devout Christian who was a Deacon in the Second Baptist Church in LaPorte, Texas. He loved his Church family and serving the Lord. He loved to read his Bible daily and when his eyesight started to fail, he would listen to a recorded one. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Channelview, Texas. He recently celebrated his 50th year as a member of this organization. Paw Paw was born and raised in the Piney Woods of East Texas and like many other members of the Greatest Generation had a difficult upbringing during the Depression. He never let this sour his outlook on life. He was always cheerful and loved to laugh right to the end. He was a man that worked hard all his life to provide for his family, but he did enjoy his working career. He did what he needed to do to make sure his family's needs were taken care of. He enjoyed farming when he lived in the country and loved being outdoors. He loved watching sports and rooting for his favorite teams. Even though in the later years he had a difficult times hearing the broadcast, he always watched. He loved being with his family and having outings with them. He was a man that enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved a good conversation on any subject you wished to talk about and loved to laugh. He will be missed by all but will continue to live in our hearts forever. Leroy Schoubroek of Huffman, Texas, passed away December 23, 2018 at the age of 92.
