Born: 10/21/1930, Iraan, Texas Death: 3/11/2008, Grand Juction, CO Viewing: 03/15/2008 12:00 noon Service: 03/15/2008,2:00 pm, Spanish Valley Mortuary Moab, Utah - Riley B. Conner, 77, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction. Riley was born in Iraan, Texas on October 21, 1930 to John Baye and Blanche Walker Conner. His family later moved to Montana where he grew up with his mother and step-father Phil Brickley. After high school Riley attended college until he was called to served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. On December 31, 1953 he married Shirley Kristensen in Billings, Montana. They later moved to Houston, Texas where he worked as a journeyman repairman for the Reed Tool Company until he retired and moved to Moab, Utah in 1989. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, and fishing. He is survived by his wife Shirley of Moab; 3 sons Michael Conner, John Conner, and George Conner all of Texas; a sister Susan Brickley, and a brother Charles Brickley both of AZ; 6 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 15, 2008 at Spanish Valley Mortuary 386 North 100 West Moab, Utah at 2:00 pm. A viewing will be held at 12:00 pm until time of the service.
