CLARKSON — Lucille Holoubek, 91, of Clarkson, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Golden Livingcenter in Clarkson. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Clarkson. Father Tim Forget will celebrate the Mass, and burial will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery at Wilson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 4-7 p.m. at the church with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the church. Visitation will continue Friday morning one hour prior to the service at the church. Lucille was born on May 22, 1919, at her parent's home in the Wilson area of Colfax County to Karel and Frances (Maly) Jedlicka. She attended rural Colfax County school. On June 17, 1941, she was united in marriage to Richard W. Holoubek in Schuyler. They lived north of Howells for a short time before moving to a farm in the Wilson area in 1942. They lived on that farm until they recently moved to the Golden Livingcenter in Clarkson. Lucille was a member of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Altar Society and the Church Guild. She was a great cook and a superb baker. She was well known for her kolaches, horn rolls and strudl. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, and donating many of the quilts she made. She adored her grandchildren and they adored her. She is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Richard W. Holoubek, of Clarkson; son, Verne (Terri) Holoubek, of Hartford, Wis.; daughter, Virginia Holoubek, of Omaha; daughter, Vicki (Randy) Brabec, of Clarkson; son, Rollie (DyAnne) Holoubek, of Adel, Iowa; daughter, Roxanne (Brad) Anderson, of Omaha; granddaughter, Courtney (John) Goldbach, of Rubicon, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Collin and Sam; grandson, Todd Holoubek, of New York City, N.Y.; granddaughter, Sara (Claudio Mascarenhas) Holoubek, of New York City, N.Y.; grandson, Brian (Natalie) Holoubek, of Milwaukee, Wis.; great-grandchildren, Walker and Scarlet; grandson, Benjamin Brabec, of Denver, Colo.; grandson, Brady (Anne) Brabec, of Milwaukee, Wis.; granddaughter, Elizabeth Holoubek, of Iowa City, Iowa; grandson, Simon Holoubek, of Iowa City, Iowa; granddaughter, Caroline Anderson, of Lincoln; grandson, Scott Anderson, of Lincoln; granddaughter, Jillian Anderson, of Lincoln; sister-in-law, LaVerna Jedlicka, of Schuyler; brother-in-law, Bill Holoubek, of Clarkson; and sister-in-law, Wilma (R.J.) Kalisek, of Clarkson. She is preceded in death by her parents, Karel and Frances Jedlicka; brothers, Anton, Henry, Victor, Longin, Albert, Charles, infant Charlie and infant Rudy; and sisters, Edith Kabes and Wilma Stoklasa.
