Published in the Athens Review June 28, 1945 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Rogers of Mabank, who died at her home there Wednesday morning at 4:30 o'clock, were held Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Mabank Baptist Church. The Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rogers, born on January 18, 1874 in Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Jones, had lived in Mabank for the last ten years. Surviving are five sons, Jesse and Neal Rogers of Plainview, Marvin Rogers of Mabank, Marion Rogers of Waxahachie, and Herman Rogers, with the Army in the South Pacific; one daughter, Mrs. Julia Gassoway of Dallas; twenty grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers.
