Bio

Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Tuesday, June 29. (Special)--Mrs. John Lola, 92, died in an Ord hospital, June 26, after a long illness. Rosary was recited at the Pearson chapel Monday evening and funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Ord Catholic church with Rev. Thomas Siudowski officiating. Mrs. Lola was born in Czechoslovakia where she was married before coming to this country in 1892. She came with her family directly to Valley county where they farmed in Geranium township. For the last 20 years she has lived in Ord. Survivors are four sons, Joe and Charles of Ord, John of Comstock and Frank of Rice Lake, Wis. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren besides one sister who still lives in Czechoslovakia.
