Wife of 1ST LT George N Richard US Army Therese Marie Cernosek Richard, 79, formerly of San Antonio, Texas and St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on November 24, 2018. Therese was born in Shiner, Texas on April 17, 1939. She graduated as valedictorian from Mercedes High School in Mercedes, Texas in 1957 and attended the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio. She married George Richard on May 31,1958 and celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to her death. Therese was committed to her Catholic faith, family, and community. She was an avid bridge player and volunteer. Therese was actively involved in leadership roles in Beta Sigma Phi Service Sorority and Altrusa International. In Gadsden, Alabama, she owned and operated a Baskin Robbins franchise from 1977 to 1981 along with her three sons. Therese was preceded in death by her parents, Elviera and Stanley Cernosek, Sr. She is survived by her husband, sons, grandchildren, siblings, other relatives and many friends.
