Marjorie Ann Hoelscher, 79, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord peacefully on November 11, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 9, 1939, the second child of seven to Florine (Moeller) and Herbert Hoelscher. She grew up in San Angelo, Texas and had a wonderful childhood helping raise her younger siblings, working on the farm completing all of the daily chores, and riding with her daddy in the truck checking on the fields. When Margie was 14, she met the love of her life, Frankie Hoelscher, and was married on June 18, 1958, at the age of 18. They were blessed with 60 wonderful years together. They proceeded to have five boys and fostered a little girl for several months. Margie LOVED traveling and visited numerous places in the United States, as well as different countries with her husband, Frankie at her side. She especially enjoyed spending time at their second home in Box Canyon on Lake Amistad where many memories were made with family and friends. She enjoyed tending to her plants around the house and had quite the green thumb. In earlier years, she was part of the Fairview 4H Club that led her to become a talented seamstress. She cherished her time with the “Busy Bees” quilting group where many quilts were intricately made for themselves, family, and the church festival. Margie also enjoyed her monthly visits with her beloved Bunko group and Sunday night dominoes with friends. She will forever be remembered and cherished by her family and friends. Margie was preceded in death by her two sons, Allen Wayne and Randal Wade, her parents, Florine and Herbert Hoelscher, and two brothers-in-law, Ray Gene Hoelscher and Wilbert Hoelscher. She was survived by husband Frankie Hoelscher, three sons, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, her brothers and sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Celebration of her life November 14, 2018, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Burial following in the St. Ambrose Cemetery. from obituary at Harper Funeral Home
