Lonnie John "Johnny" Halencak, Jr., 76 of Vernon, Texas died on Thursday, November 8, 2018, in Vernon, Texas. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Philip Petta officiating Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. "Johnny" was born Sunday, February 8, 1942 in Crowell, Texas; he was the son of the late Lonnie John Halencak and the late Julie Kubicek Halencak. He married Carol Bailey on June 27, 1964 in Vernon. He had worked for Vernon Manufacturing for 12 years and Waggoner Estate for 40 years in the oil division. He was an avid fisherman. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Carol Halencak of the home. three daughters Starlene Segler and husband Curtis of Electra, TX, Connie McNairy and husband Mike Anderson of Corinth, TX and Judy Halencak of Grand Prairie, TX, brothers, Robert Halencak of Childress, TX and Tommy Halencak of Plainview, TX, sister, Barbara Cavaness of Vernon, TX; 4 grandchildren Preston McNairy, Cody Segler, Adam McNairy and Trenton McNairy. Family Visitation will be Monday November 12, 2018 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home. a Rosary will be at 7:00 pm at funeral home. Memorials can be made to Texas Oncology Center.
