Bio
Kirtland, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, at her home. She was born Dec. 28, 1918, in Kirtland to Asael Earnest Palmer and Lois (Foutz) Palmer. Estella was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kirtland 5th Ward. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son, Greg Porterfield, of Quartz Hill, Calif.; sister, Ellora Spencer, of Grants; three grandchildren, Sean, Peggy and Terri; and five great-grandchildren. Estella was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Porterfield in 1989; a daughter, Barbara Connolly; and her parents. Friends may call from 9 to 9:45 a.m., Friday, May 18, at the church to visit the family. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kirtland 5th Ward Chapel, 10 County Road 6523, off U.S. Highway 64 in Kirtland, with Bishop Korth Ellsworth conducting. Estella will then be laid to rest next to her husband and daughter at the Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery. Estella is in the care of Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home & Crematory, 103 E.
