Son of George Washington Runyan of Indiana and Medora Harriet Amsberry of Knoxville, Marion County, Iowa. Husband of Frances Pearl Rumery of Newman Grove, Madison County, Nebraska; married on 18 September 1904 in Mason City, Custer County, Nebraska. "Funeral services for Ira George Runyan of Riverton, Wyoming were held Tuesday afternoon at the chapel of Govier-Stockham Funeral Home. The Rev. Miss Alice Elison of Mason City Methodist Church officiated. The body was sent to Riverton for burial and additional services. Mr. Runyan died Monday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lennie Geiser of Merna, where he had been staying. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Earl Lowry of Hopewell; a sister, Mrs. H.L. Rumery of Mason City; and a son, Milo Runyan of Riverton."
