Thomas “Tommy” L. Bean, 79, of Vidor, Texas, died Monday, October 1, 2018, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont, Texas. He was born on November 24, 1938, to Epsie Ann Strawther Bean and Robert Floyd Bean, Sr., in Trout Creek, Newton County, Texas. Tommy was a United States Air Force veteran. Tommy was a retired automobile dealer and co-owner of Buddy Chevrolet and also owner of Tommy Guns. Survivors include his wife, Sadie Bean; son, Cory Lamar Bean and his wife, Debbie; daughter, Julie Bean Lightfoot and her husband, Jerry; seven grandchildren; and one aunt; cousins, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert F. Bean, Jr.; and sister, Juanita Rodich. A gathering of Mr. Bean’s family and friends will begin at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Turning Point Church, 3600 North Main Street, Vidor. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Vidor, Texas.
