Gertrude Joyce Morton Turner 1931 - 2018 Early Life: Joyce was born June 6, 1931, in Lehi, Utah, to Lawrence James and Gertrude Fox Morton, the third of six children. She grew up in Lehi and shared many wonderful memories of fun times spent with friends and family. Joyce graduated from Lehi High School, where she met her devoted husband, Wesley Karren Turner. Life's Work | Service | Interests: They were married April 21, 1951, later sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple, enjoying 67 years of marriage. Joyce was a caring, supportive spouse and the most amazing mother and grandmother. She supported her children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren and all of their friends in everything they did until her health began to decline eight years ago. Most in town, lovingly refer to her as "Grandma Turner". She was compassionate and generous. She truly loved and served others. Joyce held various jobs throughout her life and was a dedicated, hard working employee. Her most recent was at the Legacy Center Food Court. She loved the people she met there and they loved her. Active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Joyce served diligently in all auxiliaries and also served with her husband in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple. She loved life and fun. Her laughter and love of a good party will be missed. She was very creative and enjoyed all types of handwork. Many have been the recipient of her beautiful, hand knit slippers. Gertrude Joyce Morton Turner passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 3, 2018, in Lehi, Utah, after an eight-year struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
