Lloyd Heller, 71, passed away peacefully at his home on Aug. 30, 2018, from pancreatic cancer. He spent his final days surrounded by his loving family and friends. Lloyd was born in 1947 in Pierce, to Fred and Mary (Hinesh) Heller. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce. He attended Zion Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Pierce High School in 1965. During high school and after graduating, Lloyd helped his parents on the family farm and worked at Kolterman Implement. In 1967, he moved to Hawthorne, Calif., and served his country in the U.S. Army. In 1969, he moved to Placerville, Calif. Lloyd was a successful building contractor for more than 40 years. His hobbies included projects around his home, fishing, camping and blacksmithing and as a western re-enactor with local cowboy groups. He is survived by his spouse, Lynne; his brother, Richard (Mary) Heller of Placerville; and a sister, Nadine Peters of Norfolk. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary; and his two sons, Billie and Steven; and a brother-in-law, Terry Peters.
