Funeral services for Marlene M. Branz Stickley, age 75, of Oakdale, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at United Methodist Church in Oakdale. Pastor Bruce Phillips will officiate, with burial in Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Marlene died Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska. Marlene M. Branz, daughter of Raymond C. and Ruby A. (Linden) Smith, was born January 26, 1943, in Buffalo County, Nebraska. She graduated from Litchfield, Nebraska High School. Marlene helped her father on the farm and also worked at a nursing home as a nurse’s aide. She moved to Oakdale, Nebraska from Ogallala, Nebraska in 1978. Marlene was a member of United Methodist Church in Oakdale. Her family consists of her son, Michael R. Branz and his wife Amy of Norfolk, Nebraska; and four grandchildren, Jordyn, Ethan, and Brooklyn Branz, and David McKirdy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; and son, Raymond Branz.
