Burial Date 9/27/2018 Dale Woodley Meece, age 87, of Odessa, TX, passed away on September 25, 2018 in Odessa. Graveside Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Clark Racca, officiating. Dale was born February 27, 1931 to Curtis A. Meece and Mary Dessie (Hunt) Meece in Flomot, TX. He graduated from high school and attended Business College. He married Jean Louise Warner on April 2, 1950 in Wickenberg, AZ. Following Jean's passing in 2002 he married Jean Shirley Creekmore on January 11, 2003. Dale worked for Shell Oil Company as a construction superintendent and retired after 37 ½ years, having worked in Texas, Utah and Montana. Dale was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the United States Navy and The United States Air Force. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He was involved locally with Westover Baptist Church and was a member of the board of directors for the Door of Hope Mission. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Mary Meece, his first wife, Jean Louise Warner and his second wife, Jean Shirley Creekmore. Dale is survived by his children, Diane Smith and her husband, Ronnie, Jeff Meece and his wife, Vickie, Warner Meece and his wife, Stacey; nine grandchildren, Stacey Smith, Jeffrey Meece, Amanda Rhyne, Roland Meece, Chris Meece, Devin Smith, Kim Falcon, Ben Meece, Rebecca Meece, Sawyer Curtis and numerous great grandchildren. Memorials may be given in Dale's honor to the Door of Hope Mission or Hospice of Odessa.
