Sarah A. Okey Devey Obituary Mrs. Sarah Adelaide Okey Devey, 65, 457 Hazel Street, died Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at 345-4th East of cerebral hemorrhage. She was born Aug. 28, 1883 in Alpine, Utah County, a daughter of Edwin and Mary Ellen Clark Okey Devey. She was active in the Ninth ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served as head of the genealogical group and Relief Society organizations. She was a temple worker. Mrs. Devey was a captain in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Her husband, Joseph A. Devey, died in 1923. Survivors include two sons, R. E. and Elmer J. Devey, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Devey and Mrs. Lovina Anders, Bliss, Ida.; two brothers, Harvey Okey, Lehi, and Lester Okey, Payson; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday noon in Ninth LDS ward chapel, 416-5th East, by Silas W. Burton, bishop. Friends may call at 260 E South Temple Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and at ward chapel 15 minutes prior to funeral. Burial will be in Alpine City Cemetery.
