DARWIN DIES, WAS INSURANCE AGENT Special to The Chattanooga Times DAYTON, Tenn. – James Kenneth Darwin, an insurance agent here for many years, died in a Chattanooga hospital Thursday morning. He was 73. Mr. Darwin was a veteran of U. S. Navy service in World War I, was a 32nd degree Mason who had received his 50-year membership pin in his Masonic lodge, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was associated with the State Farm Insurance Co. for 25 years. He was a brother of the late Judge Frank Darwin Sr., the late Gordon Darwin Sr. and the late Mrs. Margaret Greiner. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Darwin; a daughter, Mrs. T. O. Wasson Jr., and two grandchildren, all of Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday from the chapel of Sawyers Funeral Home in Dayton, with the Rev. Harold Buck officiating. Burial will be in the Buttram Cemetery.
