LENT Lymen, b. Jan 11, 1827 - d. Nov. 1, 1902 Bigelow, MO; father of R. B. & Emmett Lent. An old man, Mr. Lent, died at the home of his son in Bigelow, MO and was brought to Craig, MO, Monday for burial in the Guilliams Cemetery. (Craig Leader, Nov. 7, 1902) From The Bigelow Enterprise, November 6, 1902, Page 1: "Lyman Lent was born in Pennsylvania, January 11, 1827, died at Bigelow, Missouri, November 1, 1902, aged 75 years, nine months and 21 days. Deceased was married in Pennsylvania and four children were born, two are left to mourn the loss of a father. R.B. Lent of Bigelow and Emmett Lent who is living in South Dakota. Only the last few weeks of his illness did he embrace the Savior as the forgiver of sin. He has gone to meet his Redeemer, and his wife and two children, our loss is his gain. Funeral services were conducted by L.A. Hunt in the M.E. Church, North, text, Eacles, 3, 15, "and God requireth that which is past," after which the casket was carried to the train and the remains were laid in their last resting place in Guilliam's cemetery, three miles north of Craig."
