Steve was born in Naples, Texas to Q.B. Wommack and Bonnie Larue Nance. Steve was a member at First United Methodist Church in Naples. He was a retired chicken house farmer. Steve enjoyed motorcycles, antique tractors, spending time with family and friends, reading. He loved his daughters and helping others. Steve was preceded in death his wife Elizabeth Lakey Wommack; and his father, Q.B. Wommack.
