Bio

Mt. Pleasant Record 8 January 1943 Daniel Lexon Brooks, 75, died at his Friersontown home last Monday and funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. Humphreys Armistead of Mt. Pleasant at the Ebenezer Church and burial was in the Churchyard. He is survived by three daughters , Mrs. Virgil Roberts and Mrs. O. H. Holloway, all of Mt. Pleasant; and a son, Jesse S. Brooks of the U. S. Army. His son arrived here shortly after the funeral on a furlough and did not know his father was dead until his arrival. Pallbearers were Herschel England, Raymond Henson, Russell Roberts, Horace Eddlemon, Richard Cothran and Elmer Baker.
