Sapulpa Herald newspaper, page 1, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on March 30, 1944: G. M. Beasley, pioneer Sapulpan, died at this home west of Sapulpa, [Oklahoma] this morning [March 30, 1944] following an illness of several months. He is survived by the widow, six sons and five daughters. Surviving daughters are Mrs. Delia Armstrong and Mrs. Callie King, both of Wasco, Calif.; Mrs. Ella Wilburn, Ratan, Tex., Mrs. Celia King and Miss Dorothy Beasley, both of the home address. Surviving sons are Jim, Kellyville, C.S. [D.S.] of Sand Springs, [Oklahoma], D.C. [G.W.] of Wasco, Calif., Ben of Odessa, Tex., Andy and Richard, both of Sapulpa. A sister, Mrs. Tilda Yocham of Sapulpa also survives. Mr. Beasley, age 76, came to Sapulpa in 1912. He came to Oklahoma from Arkansas seven years before statehood [about 1900], and settled in what is now known as Broken Arrow. Funeral arrangements, pending the arrival of relatives, will be announced by the Landrith Funeral Home, [Sapulpa]. Sapulpa herald newspaper, page 1, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on March 31, 1944: Funeral services for G. M. Beasley will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at his home west of Sapulpa. Rev. Davis will conduct the services with burial in South Heights [Cemetery in Sapulpa]. Mr. Beasley, age 76, a pioneer Sapulpan, died yesterday morning at his home following an illness of several months. He is survived by the widow, six sons and daughters. Landrith Funeral Home will conduct the services.
