Bio
George Charles, 76, of OKC, went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2007. George was born in Banner, OK, to James and Mattie Kolar. George was a member of St. James Catholic Church, and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from Clarence L. Boyd after 32 years of service where he was a heavy equipment diesel mechanic. George was an avid OU Sooner Football fan and enjoyed fishing and treasured his time spent at his home on Lake Eufaula. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He leaves cherished memories with his wife, Mary Jane, of 56 years; his two children, son, George Ronald Kolar and his wife, Marisa; and daughter, Deborah Schoenberger and her husband, Gene; four grandchildren, Tori Schoenberger, Tara Bryan and her husband, Ben, Chad Kolar, and Matthew Schoenberger; and sister, Blanche Perkins; as well as many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Frank and Leroy Kolar. Wake Services to celebrate his life will be held 7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at the South Colonial Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at St. James Catholic Church (4201 S. McKinley). Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Union City, OK. Published in The Oklahoman on 5/1/2007.
