Bio

He was the son of Samuel Kemp Sr. and Eva Finch. He married Elizabeth Brown April 18, 1858 in Crawford County, Indiana Book B page 323. Children: Barbara, Minerva Jane, Sarah Ellen, Matena, Della Kemp. He was killed in the Civil War in 1862 in Perryville Kentucky. According to the 38th Indiana, Co. K descriptive book, Robert Kemp was a 6'2" tall, blue eyed, black haired, dark complected farmer and a member of the regimental color guard.
