Bio

Mary Jane was the daughter of Samuel Kemp and Eva Finch Kemp. She was born in Crawford County, Indiana in 1838. Her husband was Louis James Kemp and their daughter was Nancy Louise Kemp. After the death of James in 1867, Mary Jane remarried to Joseph Compton, their home was in Crawford County, Indiana. Mary Jane was admitted to the Woodmere Hospital sometime around 1905. Mary Jane died at Knight, Vanderburgh County, Indiana on May 29, 1910.
