Along with her two brothers and two sisters, Donna grew up on the family farm. She graduated from St. Paul High School in 1945. On December 5, 1949 she was united in marriage to Max O. Trosper. The couple made their home in Wobach where they owned and operated the café and gas station. For a short time, they lived in Fullerton where Donna was employed by the grocery store before moving back to Wolbach to continue managing the café. In 1972, Donna and Max moved to Broken Bow where they also ran the local café and gas station. They moved to Alda in 1979 where they were both employed by Union 76 Truck Stop near Alda. Donna was a waitress at the Union 76 Truck Stop until her 80th birthday. She was always a dedicated employee and café owner. She enjoyed visiting with the customers and caring for the "regulars" that made sure they stopped as they were passing through. Donna was a lifetime member of the Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She made many pillowcases and embroidered quilts for family and friends. She cherished the adventures that her and her sisters would have on their many vacations. Donna valued the time she spent with her family. Donna is survived by her children, Robert (Deborah) Trosper of Grand Island, Karen (Terry) Schrader of Alda, Debra (David) Mumm of Missouri Valley, IA; sisters, Norma Longar of Derby, KS, and Wilburta Berney of Omaha; sisters -in-law, Eleanor Perry, Imogene Kolar, Mary Sargent; ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; along with numerous extended family and "Road Family."
