Betty F. Luckett Belcher Black 1926–2018 Services for Betty F. Luckett Belcher Black, 91, of Wills Point were held on July 15 at WilsonOrwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory. Pastor Gene Glaeser and Jamie Donaldson officiated. Burial followed in Dunbar Cemetery. Mrs. Black died on July 10, 2018, at Crestwood Nursing Home in Wills Point. She was born on December 26, 1926, in Emory to George Washington and Mattie Florence Woodson Luckett. She was the youngest of 18 children. She attended Emory School. She was a member of Turlock Assembly of God Church in Turlock, California, for 50 years. Betty was a member of the Butchers Union and she was the first female Federal Inspector in the United States. She attended two conventions in Washington, D.C., for the promotion of women's rights in the work place. Mrs. Black is survived by her daughter, Jean Belcher Donaldson Lynch and husband Glen of Terrell; grandsons, Kevin Donaldson and wife Becky of Cleburn, and Tracy Donaldson and wife Jamie of Poetry; great-granddaughters, De-Anna Michelle Donaldson, and twins Tucker Grace and Bela Cooper Donaldson; sisters-in-law, Gert Luckett of Canton and Polly Luckett of Dallas; numerous other loving nieces and nephews; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; and husbands, first husband Warren G. Belcher (father of Jean Belcher Lynch) and Richard Black.
