BERNICE SOPHIA'S OBITUARY Funeral services for Bernice S. Marek Sebek, 89, of Red Ranger, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Ocker Brethren Church with Rev. Michael Groseclose and Rev. Larry Zabcik officiating. Burial will be in Ocker Brethren Church Cemetery. Mrs. Sebek died Wednesday in a Temple Living Center. Mrs. Sebek was born at Red Ranger, May 16, 1929, to Raymond Marek and Lois Luksa Marek. She grew up in the Red Ranger Community, attended Red Ranger School and graduated from Rogers High School in 1946. She then attended Business College. She was a homemaker and worked at Blue Bonnet Café, Anthony’s Department Store, Brodie’s Insurance Agency and Red Ranger Grocery. She was also a substitute teacher for Rogers Schools. She married Joe Frank Sebek on March 15, 1947. He preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter Carol Chervenka of Rogers, three sons David Sebek and Ryan Sebek both of Red Ranger and Mark Sebek of Rogers; three sisters Rosamond Baker and Ramona Gerich both of Zabcikville and Angela Griggs of Pflugerville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Ocker Brethren Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at Ocker Brethren Church.
