Mrs. Waunetta Belle Cutting, died peacefully Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, in Franklin, at the age of 90. Waunetta was born on June 24, 1927, in Kearney, Neb. to William Gladson and Laura Sheldon Gladson. She was one of five children. She married William Cutting Jr. in 1950. Soon afterward, William built their family home on Runnells Road (sometimes referred to as Cutting Hill Road) in Concord, where they raised their four children and where she lived until 2010. She enjoyed her work and worked for over 35 years as an Occupational Therapist for the New Hampshire Hospital. In spite of the daily health challenges she faced due to severe allergies, Waunetta was an avid crafter, loved to cook and was a talented seamstress. Before her illness she found great joy making and teaching ceramics. She loved flowers and for several years wore a respirator mask outside, which allowed her to continue gardening, in spite of her allergies. She also loved to travel and made several memorable trips around the United States with her daughter, Cindy. Mrs. Cutting is survived by her four children. She is preceded in death by four siblings, and her husband, William Cutting Jr., who passed away in 1980. Published in The Concord Monitor on Oct. 31, 2017 NOTE: Wrong year of birth listed in obit; should be 1929 per both the 1930 and 1940 census. Contributor: Ben (48239119)
