Marion is a daughter of George Joseph Goulding and Lydia Marion Pinney. She grew up in Panguitch, Utah. Marion married Oscar Wayne Sandin on April 30, 1927 in Malad, Idaho. The lived in Salt Lake City until at least 1940 according to the Census records before moving the Los Angeles, California.
