Olive Baptist Church in Smithdale with the Rev. Joey Barnard officiating. Visitation is noon until the service Thursday. Burial is in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Hartman Funeral Home of McComb is handling arrangements. Mr. Young was born December 6, 1 929, in Smithdale, MS. He was a retired truck driver. Survivors include: two sons, Carl Young of Brandon and Ray Young of Florence; one daughter, Cheryl Criner of Memphis, TN; one brother, Martin Young of Baker, LA; one sister, Laverne Barnes of Richland; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. ***** Laverne Young Barnes married George Edward Barnes #29912704
