The funeral for Christine E. Miller will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home in Vancouver. Private interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Miller died of causes related to age Tuesday in a Vancouver hospital. She was 84. Born Nov. 10, 1907, in Antelope, N.D., Mrs. Miller was a welder in the Vancouver shipyards during World War II. She also worked as a waitress for several years in the Vancouver area. She had lived in Vancouver since 1942. Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Royal Neighbors of America and the Harney Hills Pinochle Club. Her husband, Charles Miller, died in 1944. Survivors include her son, Donald Miller of Vancouver; daughters, Anna Mae Walmer of Kelso, Ada Drake of Battle Ground, Caroline Mickes of Camas and Nina Behrens of Bend, Ore.; sisters, Carrie Thorson and Katie Waters, both of Dearborn, Mich., and Juanita Russo of Fredricksburg, Va.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to a favorite charity. Oregonian, Friday, February 7, 1992
