Sherman- Funeral services for Florence Lorraine Loftin will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 16 at the Faith Church. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery with Gus Daniel, Todd Daniel, Tim Cooley, Jeff Cooley, Damon Cooley and David Bailey serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Loftin, 72, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018, in Sherman. Lorraine was born October 1, 1945, in Kipling, Louisiana, to the late Officer Jack and Nellie (Aiken) Cooley, Sr. On March 21, 1964, Lorraine and Robert Loftin, Jr. were married in Sugartown, Louisiana. Mrs. Loftin was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life, and she poured abundant love into caring for and encouraging them throughout life. She worked at Johnson & Johnson for 30 years and touched many lives with her kindness and contagious smile. Lorraine loved the Lord and served Him faithfully and remained close to Jesus all of her days. Mrs. Loftin is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert E. Loftin of Sherman; daughter, Michele Daniel and her husband Todd of Sherman; grandchildren, Gus and Claire Daniel, both of Sherman; two brothers, OJ Cooley, Jr and wife Jolene of DeRidder, LA and Johnny Cooley and wife Carla of Sulphur, LA; three sisters, Linda Caraway and husband CW of DeRidder, Annette Bailey and husband David of Haughton, LA, and Joan Batchelor and husband Dan of Lake Charles, LA; mother-in-law, Loreta Loftin of DeRidder; sister-in-law, Patsy Cooley of DeRidder; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Robert Loftin Sr; and two brothers-in-law, Jerry Loftin and Chester Cooley. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday at Faith Church prior to the funeral. Obituary published online 14 May 2018 by Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman, Texas.
