Albert A. Grotzky, 84, of Grand Island died Thursday, May 10, 2018, at the Grand Island Veteran's Home. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Oberbeck officiating. A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral. HomeBurial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with full Military Honors. Mr. Grotzky was born September 21, 1933, in Grand Island to Andrew and Florence (Goodwin) Grotzky-Leschinsky.He was raised in Grand Island and Holly, Colorado. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1954, during the Korean War. Albert was employed by Ideal Truck Lines for many years before retiring in 1991. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, talking on the CB radio, and camping. Survivors of the immediate family include a son, Randy of Grand Island; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy (John) Dearing of Mount Vernon, Texas. Additional survivors include grandchildren, Donald (Tara) Grotzky of Texas, Tia (Eric) Pazarena of Grand Island, Brian (Danni) Grotzky of Lincoln, Jeremy (Mandi) Dearing of Germany, Bradley (Jackielyn) Dearing of Germany, and Heather (Derek) Ricks of England; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Les of Muscatine, Iowa; sister, Lorraine Letscher of Grand Island. Albert was welcomed into heaven by his wife of 37 years, Beverly; his parents; daughter-in-law, Colleen Grotzky; brothers, Robert, Harold, and Jerry; sisters, Jackie Warren, and Jane Dean.
