Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent July 1989 Jerry O. Grotzky, 51, of ..., died Thursday, July 27, at St. Francis Medical Center. Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Chamberlain will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.... Mr. Grotzky was born Dec. 17, 1937, in Grand Island to Andrw and Florence Goodwin Grotzky. He was raised and received his education in Grand Island. He moved to the Spencer, Iowa, area later moving back to Grand Island where he lived most of his life. He worked various construction jobs and also was employed by the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant. Survivors include his mother, Florence Grotzky-Leschinsky of Grand Island; children, Richard Wells, Kay Lynn Chapman, Allen Underwood, Nancy Grotzky, Lavonne Grotzky, Stacy Grotzky; a special friend, Norma Zlomke of Grand island; seven grandchildren, three sisters, Jacqueline Warren of Fayetteville, N.C., Jane Dean of Spencer, Iowa; Lorraine Letscher of Grand Island, and four brothers, Robert, Albert and Harold Grotzky of Grand Island and Leslie of Wilton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father, two sons and his grandparents.
