Peggy Jeanne Koontz, 86 years old of Knox, Indiana, died Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Knox, Indiana. She was born Monday, August 17, 1931 in Mason City, Iowa, Daughter of the late Sewell Pratt and the late Fern (Vanderhoef) Pratt. Peggy enjoyed sewing, poetry, reading and going to yard sales. Peggy was a member of the Heartland Church. Peggy loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She worked at American Home Foods, Sears and the Burger Dairy Store. Surviving are Son, David(Val) Roemer of Knox, Indiana, Daughter, Susan(Willis) Combs of Knox, Indiana, Step-son, Michael(Melissa) Koontz, South Carolina, 9 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Howard Roemer and her second husband Russell Koontz, son Bruce E. Roemer and brother Richard Pratt. Friends will be received 6 PM to 8 PM, Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana. Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 11 AM with officiating. Interment will follow in the Round Lake Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Heartland Church.
