James Alfred Stamper, 80, of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2018, in Mansfield, Texas. Burial will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. James was born in Whitton, Texas, to the late James R.B. and Ellen Rebecca (Lightfoot) Stamper. He served in the U.S. Army. James loved his grandkids, and family very much. He had a very big heart and a love for the Lord that showed. He enjoyed wrestling and was a collector of all things. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pattie Diane (Feeler) Stamper; brothers; and a sister. Survivors include his children: Greg Stamper, Amy Stamper, Tanisha Miller and her husband, Jason, and Kelan Stamper and his wife, Cassandra; grandchildren: Kambri, Karlye, Logan, Kynlee, Korbin; brothers, Leroy and Larry Stamper; other relatives and many friends.
