Bio

(C.S.A.) Samuel Oliver enlisted in the Civil War in May of 1861 in Linden, Texas. He was in Company "D", 1st Texas Regiment, Hood's Brigade, Longstreet's Division, Army of Northern Virginia. He was discharged due to health in February of 1862. He re-enlisted into the 32nd Texas, Crump's Battalion, later Andrews' Regiment. Discharged and re-enlisted in 1863 in Company "E", Morgan's Battalion, Parson's Brigade. Died at the age of 52 yrs. ***Special "Thanks!" goes to Wendy White for their assistance.***
