Bio

Ellouise Hilger, 74, of David City died Monday, April 16, 2018. Ellouise was born on January 29, 1944 at David City, Nebraska to Louis and Sophia(Ratkovec)Zavodny. She married Duane Hilger on April 16, 1963 at Holy Trinity Church in Brainard. Two children were born to this union. Ellouise enjoyed fishing, bird watching, playing cards and attending dances. She played the accordian and trumpet and enjoyed time with her family. Ellouise is survived by her children: John(Tracy)Hilger of Altoona, Iowa and Joan(Reid)Durst of Cary, NC. Four grandchildren: Garon and Tyke Durst and Brandon and Tyler Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Duane and two brothers: Dennis and Daniel Zavodny.
