TULIA — Aubrey Neil Wells, 89, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Tulia with Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018, from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Neil was born on Aug. 10, 1928, to John and Dollie Wells in Meadow, Texas . After high school he joined the Navy and served after WWII. He married Patsy Ruth Adams on Sept. 10, 1947 in Slaton, Texas. He was a farmer and a gin manager and was an excellent woodworker. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patsy Wells; three brothers, J.B. Wells, Clarence Wells and Roy Wells; and two sisters, Christine Taylor and Wilma McBrayer. He is survived by his two daughters, Charlotte Sharp and husband Ricky of Plano, TX and Cassandra Wells of Tulia; five grandchildren, Tamara Saunders of Phoenix, AZ, Emily Benzing and husband Joe of Euless, TX, Reyna Wells, Sally Wells and Arieana Wells all of Tulia; four great-grandchildren, Noor Benzing, Reed Benzing, Max Benzing and Connor Saunders.
