BLESSING - David Joe Bartosh, 70, of Blessing, Texas, passed away on April 13, 2018, at home. He was a Graduate of Tidehaven High School class of 1966. He attended Wharton County Junior College and received an Associate of Art Degree. He signed up for The United States Navy, a total of 23 years, earning many awards. He attained Navy Diver Master Chief and retired with unbroken Service as QMCS (DV). He left behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Betty Wetherbee- Bartosh; mother-in-law, Mauritta Wetherbee-Elswick; daughter, Amalie Zoe Bartosh-Martin (Chris); step-sons, Guy Marcum (Daphne), Siggi Marcum (Laura), Robert Singer, and Frank Hannaman (Pam); grandchildren, Harli N., Sean R., and Ashton T. Hannaman; sisters, Joan Karasek (Gene) and MaryAnn Brandl (Terry); brothers, Dennis Bartosh and Lawrence Bartosh; brothers-in-law, Philip Wetherbee (Linda), Gary Wetherbee, deceased, and Ralph Wetherbee; sisters-in-law, Mauritta McElhinney (Chuck) and Darla Miller (Danny); nieces and nephews, Rita Kelly (Sean), Philip Karasek (Kelly), Gene Karasek Junior (Barbara), Courtney Brandl Ramsey (Brad), Whitney Brandl Pavlock (Randy), Krystal Brandl Ramsey (Mike), Martha Bartosh Cerny (Tim), Jim Bartosh (Ruth Ann), Terry Bartosh Kemp, deceased, (David), Hallie Kemp, Colt Kemp, Emma Kemp, Nellie Kemp Wafer (Robert), Angela Wetherbee Wossum (Mike), Michael Wetherbee (Shelly), Candice Wetherbee Kelly, Jessica Wetherbee, Lloyd Satterfield (Tina), Shannon Satterfield Hall (Geri), Chip, Brian McElhinney (Amanda), Whitney Miller, Robert, Marshall Miller (Bree), and Mitchell Miller, Haley. He was much-loved and admired. A Celebration of Life and memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Blessing Community Center in Blessing.
