Rev. Marvin Carter Vallance Jr., age 77, entered into eternal life Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Rev. Vallance was born August 4, 1940 in Memphis, Texas the son of Ruby Dell (Thomas) and Marvin Carter Vallance Sr. As a young man her served his country in the U. S. Marines. He married the love of his life, Wanda Selph. Marvin had many hobbies and talents. Among them, he was an excellent auto mechanic, a gardener with a green thumb, and he enjoyed yard work, camping and fishing. Marvin retired as a salesman for MFG Homes in Denison. He touched the lives of many people with his smile, generosity and unending zest for life. He will always be remembered for his love for the Lord, and his kind, loving nature. Marvin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Rev. Vallance leaves behind his family, wife, Wanda Vallance of Colbert, OK; son, Michael Murphy and wife, Sharon of Burleson, TX; daughters, Deanna Murphy of Ft. Worth, TX; Wanda Earl and husband, Ron of West Virginia; Valerie Moore and husband, David of Denison, TX; Cheryl Wright and husband, Ricky of Weatherford, TX; Jackie Brown and husband, Charlie of Pearland, TX; and Jo Etchison and husband Tony of Houston, TX; 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; brother, Johnny Vallance of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters, Jo Upchurch of Ft. Worth, TX; Dorothy Parker of Wylie, TX and Wanda Holder of Ft. Worth, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dan Vallance. Funeral services for Rev. Vallance will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Trinity Lighthouse Church with Rev. Raymond England officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, OK.
